The sweat, the blood, the tears and the hard work. It takes a different breed to endure the physically and mentally demanding sport of wrestling.

With the 2020 Lakeland Hawks wrestling season starting up there are many questions arising with COVID-19 guidelines and how wrestlers will stay safe during the season.

The Hawks JV team will be wrestling in the Blizzard tournament on December 12 in Sandpoint.

The Hawks have wasted no time getting ready for the season to come. They have been drilling hard since the first day of practice preparing for future tournaments. They have been working out in the weight room and running through real match situations.

This season includes matches such as the George Wild, Rollie Lane, Battle for the Paddle, District 1 4a and state tournament.

The Hawks have 12 seniors on the team this year Hayden Berger, Caleb Calder, Tucker Clugston, Colton Dow, Sam Feusier, Caleb Jocobsen, Cooper Johnson, Jacob Lafollete, Soren Sabatke, Riley Siegford, John White and Blaise Wright. The seniors on the team have stepped up this season to help the younger members of the team.

The Hawks are preparing to hold onto their 12 season win streak that they have on the Sandpoint Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are hoping that they are able to beat the Hawks and dethrone them this season.
