Lady Hawks Volleyball Takes District Championship

The top-seeded Lakeland Hawks(10-6) came out on top against the Sandpoint Bulldogs(5-11) in the 4A district volleyball championship game on October 23. 

Lakeland won three out of four sets and will be moving onto State next weekend. They will be playing District 5 champions, Kimberly High.

This was Lakeland’s second straight year going to state, despite not having been since 2005 before last season. 

Katy Ryan had 25 kills and 7 blocks, while Abbey Neff had 29 assists and Olivia Cooper had 21 digs. The Hawks won the first set 25-15, the second set 25-14, and the fourth set 25-14. 

The Hawks next game will be at 7 AM on Friday in their first tournament game.
