Everyone had that blanket or teddy bear that they could not live without when they were a kid.
Most kids get attached to small things very quickly and that is most likely why they have so many toys lying around the house.
Growing up, I had a lot of toys and stuffed animals, but as I grew up, I stopped sleeping and playing with them, except for two.
These two stuffed animals have just always been so near and dear to my heart that I just could never get rid of them.
They hold memories that most people would not want to forget.
As for me, they remind me of the long drives I would take with my mom that evetnutally ended up in an adventurous destination. Some of the memories that I hold with my stuffed animals are not the best, like when I would fall asleep crying, but at least I had my polar bear who would not judge me.
Some people might think that it is weird when teenagers still have teddy bears and ecouarge maturity.
I think that everybody has at least one childhood object they cannot seem to get rid of.
Naomi Fritts, a junior at Lakeland High School, still has her blue stuffed dog she gwas given when she got her ears pierced. This holds a memory that is important to her because this was a once in a lifetime experience for Fritts.
Mackenzie Briggs says that she kept her Barbie photo fashion doll because it has memories that she will never be able to see again without it.
Her favorite memories with her Barbie are running around the house and just taking pictures of anything and everything she saw.
Levi Pallas, a junior athlete here at Lakeland says that he has his blanket from when he was young and he always sleeps with it.
“I still have the blanket that I have had since I was young, but I never really had a special memory with it,” Pallas said. “I just have slept with it and it is something that I love.”
Not everybody still has their childhood toys like Kage Weil, as he kept everything in a different spot.
“I just grew up and put all of that stuff in a box under my house,” Weil said.
Not everyone is gonna understand why people keep their toys and stuffed animals, but for those who do, they keep it for nostalgia.
