The man, the myth, the legend.
Dreyden Smith lives an interesting yet fun lifestyle. He prefers to stay away from a crazy or stressful life, so he keeps it as relaxing as possible.
Smith started playing football in the seventh grade, and it was the best decision he had ever made. He played running back and defensive back. He takes football very seriously and enjoys any time that is spent on the field.
“I feel like it is the best sport out there, and I enjoy playing it a lot,” Smith said.
Baseball is also a sport that heavily interests Smith, as he has participated in it since he could walk.
“It is the hardest sport to play, in my opinion, but I love everything about it,” Smith said.
There are various other hobbies that Smith partakes in, which include snowboarding and occasionally playing video games with his friends.
“I like going to Schweitzer,” Smith said. “I have been there since I was a little kid. I know the mountain like the back of my hand, and I can never get bored there.”
When asked about his favorite video game, Smith said that any Madden is his favorite.
“In particular, Madden 22 was the best Madden because of the yard feature, but next-gen Madden is a lot of fun as well,” Smith said.
Smith has two little brothers that he cherishes and has a good connection with. He spends a lot of time with both of them and tries his hardest to be the best brother he can to them.
“As much as my brothers can be a pain, at the end of the day, I love them, and they teach me a lot about being a better person,” Smith said.
Smith’s plan for the future is simple and set. He plans on joining the police academy after high school and wants to serve and protect the community.
“Joining the police academy has always been something I have been interested in, and I think I would enjoy it, and it would teach me some life lessons,” Smith said.
Outside of sports, Smith lives life to the best of his ability. He likes to lift weights and hang out with his friends.
“Every day that you wake up is an opportunity to achieve greatness,” Smith said.”When you don’t achieve greatness, you have failed.”
Style, clothing, and shoes are a big interest in Smith’s everyday life. He always keeps his outfits calm and collected. When asked about his favorite brand, Nike took the top spot.
“Nike is my favorite brand because I have family members that work at Nike, and I get either cheaper or free stuff,” Smith said.
Smith is liked by many at Lakeland and is a sensation in the classroom as well.
“Dre is just a good guy all around and has always been there for me,” Smith’s friend, Noah Bodak, said.
