Lady Hawks Sweep Moscow

On Thursday, the Sandpoint Lady Bulldogs (0-4) hosted the Lakeland Lady Hawks (2-3). Lakeland came out on top sweeping Sandpoint in three sets. 

The Hawks took the first set, winning 25-18. The second set was also won by the Hawks, this time 25-20. They topped the sweep off with another dominant 25-20 win in the third and final set. 

The Hawks are now 3-3 on the year, dropping the Bulldogs to 0-5. 

With this win, Lakeland continues to move up in the state leader boards for varsity volleyball. They are now top 50 in the state and have come out very strong to start the season.

The key components in this game for Lakeland were staying alert and controlling the tempo. Abbey Neff contributed to the win with 5 aces and 23 assists. Katy Ryan was also a big part of the Hawks win with 7 blocks and 16 kills. 

Six games into the season, the Hawks sit at a solid 3-3 record. Their next game will be away at 7 p.m. on September 27 at Lake City High School.
