The Humans of Lakeland features members of the LHS community. This is the ninth in the series.

“Someone once told me that it’s not about how many times you get knocked down, it’s about how many times you get back up.  I think if you can find ways to apply this advice, it can be very helpful.  I’ve learned, especially when doing sports and dealing with certain social situations, to get back up and keep moving regardless of what other people say.  People are always willing to share their opinions, but it is up to you to decide whether you are going to let it affect you or if you are going to live your life the way you want to.  My suggestion is that you don’t let the rude things people say faze you.”
