The Lakeland Hawks tennis team competed in a tennis match on April 28 at Cherry Hill Courts.

The Hawks won the match overall 7-5. Both the girl and boys’ doubles teams won. Maddie Hersch and Bo Wilding won their mixed doubles match. 

Brady Hanna and Cole Andres won their doubles match after a close and competitive couple of games, “It was a fun match, they definitely brought their A-game and caught us off guard, but we pushed through and earned a hard-fought victory,” Hannah said.

Faith Brodwater and Malia Batman both won their singles matches. Batman feels that the team played very well overall, “honestly yesterday was the most fun I’ve had at a tennis match,” Batman said.

The tennis team will next compete on May 3 at Lewiston High School.
