Girls Take First; Boys Fourth in Lewiston

Lakeland Varsity Track team traveled to Lewiston on Friday, March 18. Lakeland Girls finished first at the meet, while the boys finished fourth. 

Some of the Lakeland athletes placed first in their events, including Junior Cody Morse and Senior Josh Haug

Cody Morse placed first in Pole Vault and got a personal best with 13’0, and Josh Haug placed first in High Jump with 5’10. 

Senior Richie Thomas placed fourth in boys 100 Meter with a time of 11.75, and Junior McKenzie Palanuik placed fifth in girls 100 Meter with 13.64. 

Senior Addie Kiefer placed third in Girls 400 Meter with a time of 27.43. 

Lakeland’s relay teams excelled at the meet with multiple groups placing second. 

Regan Wright, Chloe Charvier-Soleillet, Stacey Barker, and McKenzie Palanuik placed second in both 4×100 and 4×200 relays, with a time of  52.53 and 1:51.28. 

John Cornish, Thomas Calder, Weston Saputski, and Richie Thomas placed second in the boys 4×100 relay with a time of 45.03. 

Regan Wright, Kenna Simon, Landree Simon, and Addie Kiefer placed second in the 4×400 Relay with a time of 4:20.70

Lakeland will travel to Post Falls on Wednesday, March 23rd for Tri-Dual.
