Over the break, the Lakeland Hawks wrestling team competed in the Chad E. Ross Memorial Tournament in Saint Maries. Lakeland took second place with 195.5 points, only behind the Post Falls Trojans. 

At 113, Matthew Williams took first place, and At 126, Reilly Saxe took third place.

Then at 138, Lucas Williams took first place.

At 145 Payden Wysong took first place and also won the most outstanding wrestler award from 98-145. Dylan Scott took third place at 160 pounds.

At 170 pounds, Devon Suko lost a tough finals match and took second place.

At 220 pounds, Devon Howell took third place.

After a tough finals match, Preston Jeffs took second place at 285.

“It was a good experience for me as a wrestler. I had to wrestle the same person twice and I won and lost to him,” Said Dylan Scott about his experience at the tournament.

Lakeland will travel to Nampa Idaho to compete in the Rollie Lane Tournament.
