The Lakeland Girls Basketball team traveled to the Spokane Vally on December 3rd and 4th for an out-of-state matchup between the West Valley Eagles and the East Valley Knights. 

Lakeland defeated the East Valley Knights 77-35, with Addie Kiefer leading the team in scoring with a total of 22 points. 

Two other players also scored double-digit points, with Ziya Munyer scoring 16 points and Kenna Simon scoring 10 points. 

East Valley Ellie Syverson led East Valley with 21 points.

Lakeland started off slow with just 12 points in the first quarter, yet exploded with points the rest of the game, scoring 20 plus points in each of the last three quarters. 

East Valley fell behind quickly, only scoring seven points in the first quarter and nine in the second quarter. East Valley was only able to score double-digit points in the 3rd quarter, with 11. 

West Valley Eagles won against Lakeland with a score of 55-42, with Addie Kiefer getting a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and also tallying 4 steals and 2 assist. 

Chloe DeHabo scored 20 points for West Valley, which jumped out to a 21-8 lead after one quarter.

Lakeland plays against Post Falls at Lakeland High School on Tuesday, December 6th.
