When asked about the game, Lakeland’s star wideout Alden Waddington said “We played pretty well throughout the season even though we had a few bumps in the road. They got the best of us in the second half but we played well and I’m proud of the season we had”. Waddington found the loss hard to talk about, regardless he capped off his outstanding high school career with a great final game at both of his positions.

The Hawks started off the game strong with a 14-0 lead but eventually were burnt out by the depth of the Grizzlies and fell 42-21.

Devon Suko had one of his best games of the season, rushing for three touchdowns and holding the responsibility for all of the Hawk’s scores. The Lakeland offense totaled 221 total yards, with the majority of them coming from the ground game through Thomas Calder, Devon Suko, and John Cornish.
