On October 21, the defending state champion Lakeland Lady Hawks fell to the Moscow Lady Bears in 3-2 sets. This heart-wrenching loss ended the Lady Hawks season short as they finished their great season with a 19-14 record. 

In the first set, the Lady Bears won 25-21. The Lady Hawks won 25-20 in the second set to even the score at one apiece. Moscow retook the lead with a 25-20 win in the third set. Lakeland seemed to take this personal as they dominated the fourth set, 25-7, and sent the game to a final win or go-home set. Moscow ended up clinching the 4A district championship with a 17-15 win in the final set to end Lakeland’s great season. 

Senior Addie Kiefer had 14 kills and 28 digs in her final career game. Freshman Landree Simon had 11 kills. Senior Sam Daniels had 40 assists, junior Ellie Carlson 30 digs, and three aces, junior Kenna Simon five blocks, senior Olivia Staudinger three aces.
