Lady Hawks Shutdown Bulldogs in Double Header

Lakeland Hawks Harley See and Haylee Smit scored a combined nine runs in a double header victory against the Sandpoint Bulldogs. 

The games were played at Sandpoint High School on Thursday, May 6. Lakeland dominated both games with the first game ending 13-0 and the second game ending 12-3. 

In the first game, Devry Bursch pitched all seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out 12 and walking zero. 

The Lady Hawks totaled 13 hits, with many players getting multiple hits, such as Delaney Gosch, Payton Sterling, Hailey Gosch and Harley See. See lead the team with 4 runs scored in the first game. 

The second game of the double header went very similar for the Lady Hawks, the score ended with 12-3. 

Kathryn Wardak for the Lady Hawks allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.

The Lady Hawks totaled 13 hits, Lakeland Hawks Varsity totaled 13 hits. Delaney Gosch, Haylee Smit, Erin Byrne, Cienna Walls and Hailey Gosch each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Hawks. 

Four players scored multiple runs for the Lady Hawks, including Haylee Smit leading the team with 3 runs. 

The Bulldogs had three players each score a run. Yet, the pitching ability of Wardak was too much for the Bulldogs to score any more runs.
