As the school year winds down to an end, it gives people a chance to look back at all the good memories they made over the school year. That could be a grade they were proud of, or friends they made along the way. Highschool can bring people together allowing them to make those memories inside and outside of school with the people they love. These memories are things people keep with them throughout their entire lives, whether good or bad. The high school years have a great impact on everyone, especial here at lakeland high school.
Throughout Jenna holliss sophomore year at lakeland high school she has plenty of great memories to leek back on in the future. One that she will remember for the rest of her life is a birthday party that she had this May. What made this so special was the people she was with, some of those people started the year not talking to each other or just not liking one another. As the year whent on they came back and made a freind group that will last through high school. With all of them together it made one of Hollis’s favorite memories. The party took place downtown Coeur d’Alene where they all met for dinner. After that they drove down to the resort where they hiked tubs in dresses to take pictures with not a moment of silence between the six girls there. After the party Hollis and three of her other friends drove back home blasting and singing along to the music with the windows down. That night they sat around a fire listening to music talking about school and how life was going when they were apart.
“I want to remember that moment with all of my favorite people.” Hollis said
Another memorable moment for Hollis happens almost every day. Like many, her favorite part of the school day is lunch. Hollis meets up with her friends in their car and have lunch there. Without fail, it’s a moment where all the stress is lifted off in the moment. A perfect place where they can all go to relax before finishing the school day.
Some of sera aldrichs memories come with her hair, she has vibrant blue hair that showcases the memory of her and her sister dying it together on her kitchen table. While they sang songs through the whole process. Her extravagant blue hair will remind of her sophomore year, her and her sister bringing it to life.
Another meaningful memory is with her and her friends. Just a simple memory of them all hanging out telling scary sories while they were all sitting ouside in the lawn after sunset.
One of laina Busicchia’s memories that stood out this year was when she got together with her friends and made a presentation for her parents. Many people do that for their parents to convince them to let them get or do something, how could that be a core memory for her? her and her friends wanted to be able to go out and do the things they love around town. Every single one of them put effort into their parts and presented in front of her parents, some of them just becomeing friends and not knowing them well still did their best.
“My friends care enough to go through all that just so we can all hang out together,” Busicchia said.
Being able to find friends like that means a lot to her especially comparing to her freshmen year of high school. High school is a time where people should make great memories to keep for their entire life.
