Carlyn Harte is a freshman at Lakeland high school who is new this year coming from STEM Charter Academy. She is known for her infectious laugh and making others laugh with her.
Carlyn has two siblings, her older sister is married and has a child and her younger sister is 11 years old. Her dog Jasper is her only pet and he is a Rottweiler mixed with a Lab.
Carlyn is looking forward to this summer for many reasons, but one thing she knows for sure is that she will not be wasting her summer indoors bed rotting. She plans on not binge watching any shows this summer and being outside the entire time.
Her and her family go camping almost every weekend and are planning on bringing her friend Emily with her.
“I like camping and hiking better than sitting at home because it makes it feel like summer,” said Harte.
More things she will be doing this summer is getting ready for the soccer season, she will have summer practice every week getting ready for a great season. Some of Carlyn’s closest friends are from soccer and she loves playing outside in the fresh air.
“I am excited to go to the soccer practices because I might get to meet incoming freshmen who I can get to know before the season,” said Carlyn Harte.
Carlyn’s goal this summer is to get her drivers licence and drive with her friends to fun places. She plans on going shopping a lot using the money she makes from baby sitting. She makes about 100 dollars every time she babysits to help feed into her shopping.
Her favorite summer song she will be listening to this summer is Brazil by Declan Mckenna, probably while doing her friends nails.
“I like doing nails because I can be creative and I can have my friends over and make money,” said Carlyn Harte.
Another hobby she will be doing is baking. She loves to make delicious desserts for her friends and family. Her favorite thing to bake is huckleberry cheesecake.
One thing for sure is that Carlyn’s summer will be jam packed with adventure and fun that she will remember for the rest of her life.
