A Junior at Lakeland High School, Ada Blakemore plays an important role for the hawks by being a lead off hitter and a center fielder. She carries a lot on her back while taking control of the outfield. She recently received athlete of the month with her amazing stats she puts up and the attitude she brings into the game.
Blakemore also plays the same role for her travel team, CDA Crush. She has been playing softball since she was 9 years old. She is a very dedicated person who puts full effort into everything she does. Her teammates are able to rely on her to produce in a game at the most needed time.
Outside of softball, Blakemore loves to tan and reads at the end of every day. She also works at Embers when she isn’t playing softball and enjoys working with some of her friends.
She works hard on the field, at work and even in the classroom. Blakemore is a straight A student and taking college classes. She likes to challenge herself to the fullest and will continue to push herself for her desired outcome.
“Although softball has been a main part of my life, I want to pursue my dream of being an anesthesiologist,” Blakemore said.
As Blakemore is finishing her junior year and preparing for her senior year, she has her heart set on becoming an anesthesiologist. She has the desire to help people and take care of them and wants to be able to pursue that in her near future.
“Ada brings a lot of energy to our team and helps other players when needed,” sophomore Katie Nave said.
