Gwenyth Hoyt has been enjoying her Junior year here at Lakeland High School, and she especially enjoys her time at her main elective.
Q: What is your favorite thing about LHS?
A: I really like the friendly atmosphere. Everybody has something positive to say, even a smile. Everyone acknowledges you even without outright saying it.
Q: What do you do here at LHS?
A: I am in the drama department we work as a team to put together a wonderful show, and performance.
Q: What do you like about the Drama Department?
A: I love drama and the way we support each other, it’s like a family. Whether it’s a personal problem, professional problem, it doesn’t matter. We also help each other loads with our acting abilities.
Q: What has been your favorite production?
A: My first production that I was a part of, which was “The Haunted House Farce” or our most recent production “Head Elf” both times the vibe was amazing and everybody had a great time.
Q: Who would be your dream ensemble from the department?
A: Cooper Allen, Sydney McDonald, Kambree Marreel, and Aubrie Hodgkins would be great to act out a scene with.
Q: Would you want to pursue drama out of high school in any way?
A: I want to be a drama teacher in the future, even possibly work here if they’ll have me.
Q: What would be the main quality you would teach?
A: Teamwork and cooperation. Support is another big thing. During head elf, we had a lot of confusion and we pulled ourselves together crazy fast and managed to pull it off within three weeks.
Q: Biggest challenge and biggest success?
A: Opening up has been hard for me. Finding my niche this year so far has been the easiest out of each of my previous years. Getting my first big role at our drama dept has been my biggest success so far, and I’m excited for how our next production will go.
