Griffin Tamagni, a junior at Lakeland Highschool is not only a great student in the classroom, but on the field as well.
A well rounded athlete, Tamagni plays football and baseball for the Hawks and is a standout athlete in both fields. This year in football he led his run based offense to a 10-2 season and at one point was third in the whole state of Idaho for rushing yards.
“We played really well all year, our team really came together as the season went on,” Tamagni said.
Still being a junior, this means Tamagni gets one more season left to accomplish even more and keep on showing the state of Idaho his talent in the backfield.
When fall rolls over and spring comes into effect, the running back turns into a middle infielder and lead off hitter for the Hawks baseball program.
“Griffins is always someone the team can rely on honestly, he’s talented at the plate and in the field.” Teammate Landon Puzio said. Tamagni is headed into his junior year of baseball this season and is excited and more opportunities to grow and show out.
“We have a good team this year, a lot of older guys and good experience,” Tamagni said.
If one thing for sure is that Tamagni works hard, whether it’s on the field or in the classroom.
