Senior athlete Cash Lund has defined his high school career at Lakeland High School as a dynamic three-sport competitor and a leader both on and off the field. Best known for his contributions to the Hawks’ football team, Lund has been one of the big playmakers in Lakeland’s offense and defense this season and in recent seasons as well, leading his team in receiving yards per game and coming in clutch is big wins for the Hawks this year and years before.
As a senior in the 2025 season, Lund’s athletic ability has been on full display. On the football field, he’s consistently been among the team’s leaders in receiving and scoring, showcasing his ability to impact games as both a receiver and multi-threat athlete.
“Playing multiple positions has always helped me as an athlete” Lund said.
His contributions helped the Hawks earn an impressive record and deep playoff run, where Lund continued to compete at a high level against tough postseason competition. Lund is on the field and is seen at many positions, but the team knows his true position is athlete. His ability to jump into any position and perform at such a high level is something you don’t just see everyday.
“Cash has been playing at a high level ever since I’ve known him,” Cyler Bauer said.
But Lund’s athletic journey is far from over. He has committed to Eastern Oregon University, where he plans to continue his athletic and academic pursuits. At Eastern Oregon, Lund will join a football program that competes in the Frontier Conference and develops student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom.
With his competitive spirit and work ethic, the next chapter for Lund from a senior standout at Lakeland to a rising college athlete is one to watch as he continues chasing his dreams in football and in the classroom.
“Playing college football has always been a dream of mine since I was a kid” Lund said.
