The holiday season is here. Halloween wasn’t too long ago, Thanksgiving just slipped through our fingers and Christmas is on its way.
But when is the perfect time to decorate for Christmas?
Some start decorating the day after halloween. Some like to wait till after Thanksgiving.
I think that the perfect time to decorate is after thanksgiving.
I think that most people feel that winter always lasts forever and by the time February comes around, everybody is ready for the warm weather again.
What if we just pushed back winter a little bit.
Enjoy fall longer. Enjoy Thanksgiving on its own and don’t rush the Christmas season.
Wait until after thanksgiving to decorate so that once it’s over you can enjoy the christmas cheer, listen to your favorite christmas music, and put up your christmas trees without having thanksgiving dinner prep on your mind.
Some also decide to wait to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving because it feels like they are skipping the holiday in general and jumping straight to Christmas.
“In my opinion, decorating anytime before Thanksgiving is too early,” said Annie Mattila, “because then you’re not celebrating Thanksgiving, you’re just skipping over and going to Christmas.”
But, another opinion might be that decorating for Christmas before thanksgiving is more enjoyable.
This could be because you don’t have to stress about the chaos of switching decor or the mess it might be, during thanksgiving dinner.
Once the decorating is over it might also be nice to have the change of scenery for thanksgiving.
It could bring newness to your home for thanksgiving and christmas to come. Some think that it is never too early to decorate for Christmas.
“I think the best time to decorate for Christmas is right before Thanksgiving and it’s never too early for Christmas decorations,” said Jolie Warren.
