With the sound of a screaming V8, known as the American Muscle car, is the 2004 Mustang GT.
“The 2004 Ford Mustang is the best-looking sports car of its time,” said Jack Childs sophomore at Lakeland High School.
It is powered by a 4.6 liter single overhead V8 engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 4.6 liter V8 is pushing 260 horsepower and about 220 foot-pounds of torque making this car one of the most iconic sounding Mustang. The Mustang has a 0-60 of 5.5 seconds.
The Mustang gets an average of 20 miles per gallon, making it more efficient than the average Jeep Wrangler, which means this vehicle is more worthwhile with all the styles.
Ford built the Mustang to be a sporty daily driver and it had an option for a GT package that included a higher-performing engine and transmission with more body modifications with a higher-end interior. They allowed for deluxe, premium, premium match 1, and SVT cobra, as well.
The car is on Nitto race tires with the stock American muscle steel wheels.
Luke’s Mustang has an A/C that is currently broken, but his heat, on the other hand, works well.
Luke bought this car from Dave Smith in July of 2024.
The exterior fashions a beautiful hood scoop that feeds even more air to the powerful V8 engine. The fenders flare out giving an amazing transition to a fake but fashionable air vent connecting to the rear fender.
On the back, it has a very short but noticeable spoiler giving it more downforce for better fuel mileage and track performance. On the doors, this particular Mustang has special badges to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang.
The 2004 Ford Mustang had options for 7 different trim packages. Just a few are, Deluxe, GT Deluxe, GT Premium, Premium, Premium Mach 1, SVT Cobra, and Standard. Starting from the highest package to the lowest.
Luke loves his car but he has some things he doesn’t like. For instance, he is not a fan of the black stripes or the fact that his car is mostly stock.
The 40th anniversary Mustang GT is a very nice car for its time it has one of the most sleek interiors and exteriors. Ford made the 40th anniversary Mustang to be higher-end and more luxury than the other sports cars on the market at this time.
