Jordan Bucaroff is a friendly face most recognize as they pass through the halls. Whether they know him from sports, Hello Hawks or class, he always is looking to crack a joke and make someone laugh.
Staff and students have treasured the memories they have made with Bucaroff over the past four years. Originally moving to Idaho in 2020, he was a new face in a completely new location. This gave Bucaroff the opportunity to create new friendships at Lakeland High School.
“One of the best parts of Lakeland is definitely meeting friends,” Bucaroff said. “Lakeland was the first introduction to all of my friends basically.”
Brayden Tirri, a senior at LHS, has been friends with Bucaroff since their freshman year. The two have spent countless times together, creating many memories that will last a lifetime.
Tirri is appreciative of Bucaroff’s creativity and interest in arts.
“He’s a creative guy that loves his music,” Tirri said. “He loves making beats.”
Allison Knoll, the Hello Hawks adviser, is extremely grateful for all of the help Bucaroff has contributed to the class. Being in the class all four years of high school, Bucaroff gained a lot of experience with the broadcasting program, how to organize a program and how to meet deadlines.
“Jordan brings a sense of peace when a lot of time, just by nature, that class gets a little crazy, and Jordan just is the calming presence and brings everybody together and makes sure we are on time,” Knoll said.
Along with making beats and broadcasting for Hello Hawks, Bucaroff enjoys his job at Applebee’s as a host. He has worked there for the past three months and plans to continue with this job after high school, hopefully reaching a promotion to a higher position.
“I hope to move up to a server once I turn 19,” Bucaroff said. “I plan to save up as much as possible… I love making money, it’s a hobby of mine.”
On top of his job, Bucaroff will be attending North Idaho College in the fall for graphic design. After receiving his associates degree, he will transfer to the University of Idaho. Although he is unsure what he plans to major in, he knows it will be something creative.
“I’ve always been a pretty artsy person, and I want to kind of personally dive more into how graphic design works and designing things like logos and all that stuff,” Bucaroff said. “I’ve always loved editing, and that is an aspect of it.”
He has also taken an interest in another side gig consisting of taking drone pictures and editing them for realtors, hoping to save up extra money.
“Jordan is going to go places,” Knoll said. “Jordan could do whatever he wants, he can do whatever he puts his mind to…We’re definitely going to feel his loss next year when he’s not here, so we’ll try our best but it will never be the same without Jordy B.”
