153,200special education teachers occupy America with patience, love and support. One special education teacher stands out in this group, Deana Lange.
Filled with education and inspiration, Lange’s special education classroom is always filled with smiles and love from the students and teachers.
Lange’s appreciation for her students and deep level of love for every kid is beneficial to the students and the school’s environment in general. She is always a shoulder to lean on when needed and remains patient through difficult situations.
It is with great pride that we announce Lange as one of Lakeland’s Teacher of the Year. This prestigious accolade, bestowed upon her by her colleagues, is a testament to her kind-hearted and inspiring personality, and the unwavering support she extends to anyone in need.
Lange’s favorite part of her job is helping special education students build their confidence and gain independence in their abilities. Another one of her favorite parts of the job is “how kind and supportive the Lakeland student body has been with my students,” Lange said.
She comes in every day to work with LHS’ special education students. By offering guidance and education to all the students in the class, Lange raises a generation of students with love and confidence.
Lange exhibits a great passion for her job.
“I have enjoyed the years I have spent at Lakeland, having the opportunity to work with a lot of great people,” Lange said.
Patience and empathy are shown every day in Lange’s classroom. Students feel comfortable and loved by their teacher, making each day more engaging and enjoyable for everyone.
Beyond the passion for her career, Lange’s ability and skills also set her apart from other teachers. She constantly shows a greater understanding of each student and knows precisely what to do to help the student grow.
It is no surprise to the LHS student body that Lange won the Teacher of the Year award, as her job is inspiring to many students, and her kindness is felt throughout the entire school.
“I am very appreciative that my colleagues selected me for this award,” Lange said.
