Charlie Dickerson is one of the most genuine, pretty and funny people someone can meet at Lakeland High School. She is nominated for this year’s prom queen alongside her boyfriend, Colin Killian.
Charlie Dickerson was part of LHS’ cheer team for all four years in high school and is one of the many familiar faces on the team.
Charlie can be described by her sister, Morgan Dickerson, as a caring and sympathetic person.
“She’s very sensitive, but in the best ways, she’s caring towards others,” Dickerson said.
She also describes her sister as funny and can light up the room when comfortable with the people around her.
Dickerson thinks very highly of her sister and her relationship with Killian. She fully supports them on prom court and wants them to win.
“I’m very excited, I feel like she and Colin really deserve it because they’ve been in such a healthy relationship for a long time,” Dickerson said. “She’s wanted this for a long time, and even if she doesn’t win, she wants to say she and Colin made it on the prom court.”
Morgan and Charlie Dickerson have a very close relationship. Together, the two siblings do many activities and different hobbies.
“I like going skateboarding with my sister, hiking, and basically anything outside,” Charlie Dickerson said. “I also enjoy walking my dog, getting froyo with Colin, and watching Colin’s baseball games.”
Dickerson also has some hidden talents that others don’t know about, such as being able to cry on demand and being super flexible.
“My favorite thing about her is that she is a very honest person, and she is honest with me. If I do badly in sports, she will tell me in a kind way,” Killian said.
Killian described Dickerson as his favorite person and his best friend.
“I can always rely on her for everything I need, and I try to be that person for her, too,” Killian said. “Fun fact, I didn’t know she was a person until two months before we started dating. She friend-zoned me twice, and I kept persisting her.”
He is very excited about prom and hopes he and Dickerson win prom queen and king together.
“I think it’s so cool that we got recognized for that by our class,” Charlie Dickerson said. “I honestly don’t think I would’ve been on prom court if it hadn’t been for Colin, but I think it’s fun, and a really good experience, and even if we don’t win, I think it’ll be cool to tell people about it.”
