The Humans of Lakeland features members of the LHS community. This is the twenty-third in the series.
“I value my family the most. I have four kids; two of them are not at home anymore, but they still live in the area. I love spending time with them. When we are all able to be together, that is important to me. We do a lot of outdoor activities like fishing, hiking and snowboarding. It is nice to have everyone together. I also think family dinner is important. I remember growing up, we ate dinner together no matter what as a family at the dinner table. I think a lot of people in society have lost that, especially with being so busy they don’t do that anymore. We definitely try to make a point of doing that every evening just to have that time together. Nothing is promised. You never know when someone is going to be here or not be here, so it is important to not take people for granted, especially your family members.”
