This year has been filled with movie releases, and it appears the string of hit movies coming out won’t be stopping anytime soon!
“I go to the movies a lot, I’d say just about every other weekend,” Austin Howell said.
With many of new movies constantly in rotation, there is always one to see.
With the 2023 year starting to wrap up and the holidays approaching, it is expected there will be an abundance of new movies.
Horror movies are typically at a height this time of year with Halloween approaching. A new Exorcist was recently released, along with the tenth Saw movie, and nobody can forget about the Five Nights at Freddy’s live-action coming to theaters on Oct. 27.
Concert films are also becoming a big deal in the movie industry with the release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film and Beyonce also releasing a concert film this December. Both movies have been breaking ticket sales for sites such as Fandango and records for concert films in general.
“I like going to the movies with my friends,” Keona Roemermann said when asked about her favorite part of the movie experience. “I recently saw the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie when it had come out and it was super good,” Roemermann said.
Other LHS students are excited for new films coming out soon.
“I’m excited to see the new Wonka movie and the new Marvel movie,” Kaylea Clift said.
The Wonka movie has been highly anticipated, due to its star actor Timothee Chalamet, and the memes the trailer has produced on TikTok. The movie will be released in December. The new Marvel movie Clift is referring to would be The Marvels, which comes out this November and stars characters Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, and all female superheroes.
Going to the movies can be such an exciting way to spend the day. Whether it is alone or with a group of friends, it is always guaranteed to be a great time. To experience stories told on the big screen is the correct way to witness them.
