It Goes By Fast
A Q&A with Caroline Gallus
Caroline Gallues is a junior at Lakeland High School. She has been in the district for five years. She has six siblings and plays soccer and basketball and runs track. Caroline is a very happy and cheerful person, somebody who is fun to hang out with.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: “I love any outdoor activity; I hike, camp and do rock climbing. I do like to read as long as it’s a good book, and of course, hanging out with friends.”
Q: If you had 24 hours to do anything, what would you do?
A: “I would definitely travel. I want to go somewhere tropical like Hawaii or the Bahamas. Ireland is also somewhere I would go, it is near the top of my bucket list.”
Q: How long have you played Soccer? How has soccer impacted your life?
A: “I started playing soccer around the age of eight, so this would be my eighth year playing soccer. The sport itself is a super fun way to compete with the rules and all, it has helped me become more of a leader and shown me how to deal with people and communicate with them. Anytime I had a rough day, practice really cheered me up.”
Q: How does it feel nearing the end of your junior year?
A: “It is definitely weird, high school has gone by so fast. It is kind of sad to think that I only have one year left with sports and with friends. I have major mixed feelings about everything, it’s very bittersweet.”
Q: What is your dream job?
A: “I have always wanted to be an elementary school teacher, it is something that I have thought about for a long time. I also considered being a firefighter, but I don’t think that will happen, but would definitely be a cool job.”
Q: What is your “dance when nobody is watching” song?
A: “I have many songs, but it would have to be Recking Ball by Miley Cirus. Everyone that I tell always laughs and judges me for it, even though it’s a great song.”
Q: Do you plan on going to college? If so what for?
A: “Yes I do, recently I toured Lewis-Clark State College. It is looking like I am going to go there after graduation. I plan on majoring in Elementary Education.”
