Kenobi Teaser Trailer: Will it be Worth the Watch?
SPOILER ALERT
March 16, 2022
The Kenobi series will be taking place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and 10 years before Star Wars: A New Hope. There will be six episodes in this limited series and it will be released on May 25th only on Disney+.
Although the teaser trailer is the only thing out currently there are many things that it tells us to find out what it can mean for the rest of the series.
Ewan McGregor will come back as Obi-Wan Kenobi in this series and there is speculation that Hayden Christensen will be coming back as Darth Vader.
The trailer first starts out on Tatooine, a desert planet where Kenobi is on a camel-like creature, Kenobi is still in exile after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Then we see a young Luke Skywalker, with his aunt Beru and uncle Owen. Kenobi is watching after him from the top of a mountain to make sure that he is safe from his father Darth Vader and the Empire.
We then see an Inquisitor shuttle go toward an ocean fortress called the Fortress Inquisitorius on the moon Nur which is a home for the Inquisitors.
Then we see new characters that haven’t been in any of the previous movies before like the Grand Inquisitor, Third Sister, and the Fifth Brother. These characters are dark force users that are on the side of the Empire and Darth Vader.
The Grand Inquisitor, the Third sister, and the Fifth Brother are then seen on Tatooine, who may be looking for Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. These inquisitors are also seen terrorizing the people of Tatooine. Then they go on a different planet called Daiyu and where Kenobi follows them, who then gets shot at on the rooftops of the city.
Emily Isenberger said “I watched the Kenobi trailer and I’m excited for the show to come out. I think that the plot is going to be super interesting based on what happened in the trailer. I always wanted to see what Kenobi did when he went into exile”
Some things that I hope to see during this series is to see what Kenobi did for Luke Skywalker while he was watching over him and a fight scene between Kenobi and Darth Vader if he does come into the series.
I believe that this series will be beyond people’s expectations based off of the trailer, I would recommend watching Kenobi when it comes to Disney+.
