Lady Hawks Fall to Kellogg at Home

The Lakeland Lady Hawks looked to keep their winning streak after defeating the Timberlake Tigers the week prior. Unfortunately, the Lady Hawks could not and lost in a close game against the Kellogg Lady Wildcats 55-46.

The only senior for the Lady Hawks, Addie Kiefer, had a double-double with 20 points, and 11 rebounds. She had the most points for both teams. Junior Kenna Simon had 3 points with 8 rebounds. Sophomore Payton Sterling had 8 points along with Freshman Ziya Munyer with 6 points. 

The Lady Hawks struggled from the free-throw line only making 18 shots out of 41 attempts. On the other side of the court, the Lady Wildcats hit 13 shots out of 16 attempts. 

The Lady Wildcats led 30-22 at halftime. During the fourth quarter, the Lady Hawks were at one point only down by 1 point and then the Lady Hawks could not connect from the free-throw line.

For the Lady Wildcats, Hailey Cheney had 17 points with 8 rebounds.

The Lady Hawks will play in The Border Clash Tournament on December 3rd.
