People trade beach days for warm sweaters, football games, and pumpkin spice.
The change from summer to fall is one of the best times of the year.
After months and months of hot weather, the cool breeze feels refreshing.
The air feels cleaner, everything changes colors, the bright green shades slowly turn red, orange and yellow making everything outside look magical.
Weather like this makes me want to step into nature, take walks in the park, and carve pumpkins.
Curling up with a good book, watching a comfort show and baking cookies are all things fall brings in.
For most, Gilmore Girls is the comfort show that comes to mind. It is the show of autumn. Being based off a small town that only seems to have the seasons fall and winter, it’s perfect for this seasonal transition.
Another reason I love the change from summer into fall is the atmosphere.
Summer is all about energy and activity, but where fall seems more calm and cozy.
It’s the season where families start spending more and more time together.
“The switch from summer to fall makes me happy because I can finally start bringing out my warm clothes, and start going on Starbucks runs with friends,” Cheyenne Peaugh said.
The shift in weather also brings excitement for upcoming events and holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving, some people even start thinking about Christmas.
“Fall honestly puts me in a better mood. It feels like the world is actually calm for once,” Delilah Zimmerman said.
Overall the change from summer to fall reminds me to slow down and appreciate nature’s beauty, my family and friends.
It’s a season of comfort and new beginnings.
