For Senior Peyton Sardinha, the football field isn’t just a field. It’s a second home. But there is so much more that has shaped him into the person he is today.
Sardinha is a big contributor to Lakeland’s Football team, as well as track, wrestling and band. He is a very active Hawk.
Peyton has moved around a lot because of his dad who is in the military. This experience of living with a military family has shaped who he is today.
“The moment that impacted me most was when my dad came back from Okanala Japan after being deployed,” Sardinhia said.
These impactful moments don’t stop in his personal life. At Lakeland High School, he has made many friends through sports.
Dreyden Smith (Sardinha’s friend) met him in seventh grade, when he first moved to Idaho. “Peyton is very outgoing, energetic, and thoughtful,” Smith said.
Sardinha is also a great influence on the football team.
“He always goes one hundred percent, even if he doesn’t feel like it,” Smith said.
“My favorite memory is probably going to Nevada for a wrestling tournament in sophomore year,” Sardinha said.
Football boys can seem tough. But for Sardinha, his last game is going to hit hard.
“I think it’s going to be hard because I got here in seventh grade and football made me who I am today,” Sardinha said.
Looking back, Sardinha said he would tell his younger self “Always apply yourself, even if you think you don’t need to.”
Sardinha has made his impression at Lakeland, and continues to make it during his last year of high school.
