Having accomplishments is important, whether it’s getting first place at a tournament, acing a test, or perfecting a recipe.
For Daniel Creekmore, his accomplishment is finishing an 1145 episode (and more coming) T.V. series.
Creekmore, a junior at Lakeland High School (LHS) has a particular interest in the animated series One Piece.
With over 1,000 episodes and a lot of time, Creekmore managed to finish the whole series and plans to keep watching when more episodes come out.
“I watch the show for the fight scenes,” Creekmore said. “Even though the show is long, it’s interesting, there’s a lot of build up to them.”
Creekmore started the show in October of last year one day while being sick and bored at home. The show came up on his recommendation and decided to watch it regardless of the amount of episodes.
“When I first started watching it I thought it was stupid, but then I felt dedicated to finishing it,” Creekmore said.
Creekmore has recently finished the show just 2 weeks ago. More episodes are coming out and he plans to keep watching.
Some of his other favorites are Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan, but nothing compares to his favorite prolonged series.
“Dan displays a lot of dedication, which I admire,” Ryder Lisonbee said. “I personally would spend that dedication towards something more productive. Go Dan.”
Creekmore takes a lot of pride in finishing the series, and plans to keep going.
