A Lakeland High School (LHS) senior, Adriana Artz is preparing to graduate this June and begin her life after High School.
“I am just excited to not go back to high school,” Artz said.
For Artz, she is stuck between two career options she hopes to pursue. Artz wants to either be damage control in the Air Force, or a forensic analyst. Both careers are difficult and demanding and more women in those male dominated fields is something that is important to have.
Artz says she would either first go into the air force and get her education through the air force to become a forensic analyst or go straight into college at University of Idaho. Artz is not quite sure what route she would want to go.
Artz says that damage control is one of the safest jobs in the Air Force for specifically women and that is why she thinks it is the best Air Force job for her.
Artz said, “My mom explained to me damage control is the safest field for women in the Airforce so I sort of just trusted her.”
If Artz were to go straight to college, she would enjoy getting to move out even if it was just into a dorm and being able to decorate her dorm as she pleased.
Artz is overall excited to leave high school behind and pursue her life in something she is more interested in.
