Seniors all over are told it is time to figure out what is next in life. What they are going to do with their life, jobs, college, and so much more.
Caleb Adams is a senior at Lakeland High School (LHS). He has a plan to be a Land Surveyor.
“It is really interesting and fun,” Adams said.
He has his top three colleges picked out: University of Alaska Anchorage, Idaho State University, and University of Wyoming.
He plans to get a bachelor’s degree. While Adams has a job and a few colleges picked out, he also knows where he wants to live.
“I would like to live in Alaska, for hunting and fishing and wilderness,” Adams said, “Also, how pretty it is.”
As seniors get more control about dealing with life it becomes scary.
“I am nervous about having to deal with money and being an adult,” Adams said.
Adams has been wrestling which has taught him valuable lessons that he will take in the real world. He has been wrestling the last three years. His junior year he placed 5th in state.
“Wrestling has taught me hard work and dedication,” Adams said.
Corey Pettit has left the biggest impact on Adams. Pettit is the Industrial Mechanics teacher at LHS and Adams has attended his class for the past four years.
“He has given me a job opportunity and he has given me advice about everything in life,” Adams said.
His advice to students in high school is to start good habits now.
