The Lakeland Hawks Boys Varsity soccer team beat the Post Falls Trojans in a 4-0 triumph at home on Thursday, September 18. This was an important league game for the Hawks.
All four goals were scored in the first half of the match.
Riley Jones scored the first goal of the game with an easy tap in after a ball was played in by Tripp Peraldo.
Cade Pittman scored the next two goals with the first being a clean cut in from the right and it was shot to the opposite side of the goal. Pittman scored his second one after the ball had bounced around the box for a second before he slipped it past the keeper.
The fourth goal was scored by one of the Hawks team captains, Ethan Hunt. Hunt smashed it from the left side of the goal, putting it past the keeper with an assist from AJ Mura.
The Hawks had several shots on goal in the second half but couldn’t seem to extend their lead.
Lakeland Boys Varsity soccer will play next at home on Saturday, September 19, against the Moscow Bears.
