Sixteen years of friendship leading to walking the stage together in two weeks. Mason Kirk and Frank Ferriola are two of the bestest friends here in Lakeland High School. They have experienced every major step in life together and now they get to carry on to graduate high school together.
“I think it is great to graduate with your best friend. It makes it easier that we are doing it together,” Mason Kirk said.
Ferriola and Kirk have more memories than you can count. From trips to riding mountain bikes to fixing trucks.
Majority of the time they work on their trucks.
“It makes it a little less terrible having someone to chat with, it is never a good time working on your rig,” Kirk said.
One of their favorite memories together was their trip to Florida this past fall.
“We spent a lot of time on the beach,” Ferriola said.
Kirk says everyone should go experience a week in Florida with their best friend.
With countless memories comes countless stories from these two with all of their crazy adventures.
Whenever these two are together you can count on having a good time and always come out with a story.
“One of my favorite memories with Frank was when he had drank too much milk while in my sink and shot all the milk out of his face and nose,” Kirk said, “Then when we were in Beau’s Jeep and it went rubber side up, it was terrifying but still a little bit funny and it showed how much we cared about each other.”
The words that these two have to say about each other are interesting but it truly shows a true bromance.
“He is a loving friend, he never leaves anybody behind, he strives for perfection in everything he does,” Ferriola said.
Ferriola used to collect napkins from Kirk’s lunchbox that Kirk’s mom wrote for him everyday from kindergarten to sophomore year. Ferriola has kept Kirk’s notes to this day.
“Frank is a big-time cuddler and he likes to mess with people,” Kirk said. “He is really annoying but our bromance makes up for it.”
The friendship/bromance of Kirk and Frank is the definition of true friendship, that will last a lifetime.
