The average person is recorded an average of 18-22 times a day.
Whether that is from security cameras, iPhones, or even backup cameras on cars.
Less obviously, however, the average person leaves 30-90 milligrams of skin flakes lost per hour.
Also, the average person passes by 1,000 people a day.
This many interactions and traces of evidence make anyone’s whereabouts much easier to trace.
Regardless, in some cases, there have been times when it appeared that nothing could be done to solve a mystery.
There have been many times when the least suspected assistant makes the greatest hero. No one knows you quite like your dog.
In April 2023, 26 year old Idaho woman, Mandy Reynolds was shot and then “Burned beyond recognition” in a field fire according to the Mclennan County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigators failed to identify the body of the victim.
White-haired labradoodle, Titan, revealed the truth without even trying.
He barked at the body, refusing to leave her side, giving the investigators reasonable suspicion that the body was the owner of Titan.
Titan’s microchip allowed for the police to identify the owners of Titan and reveal Mandys identity.
Without Titan the labradoodle, none of this would have been possible.
Known for their great problem solving abilities, and strong sense of smell, dogs are a perfect pair for police and investigators.
Another occurrence of K-9 heroism happened in California, seven months ago, when a brave dog saved its disabled owner from a house fire.
Risking its life, the dog had to undergo many treatments to return to full health, but saved its owners life deeming it a true hero.
On a simpler occurrence, many people find that their dogs have saved their lives in other ways as well. While they may not be solving a huge mystery, dogs still make great companions and can save people by being their best friend.
“My dog saved my life I would say,” Marissa Higbee said. “She is my best friend and I absolutely love her.”
Higbee got her dog, Ember, when she was about nine years old.
Ember is a happy dog, who is down for any adventure.
Now, it is very common to see Higbee driving around and taking Ember with her everywhere.
Never one without the other, these two are an inseparable duo.
So, while these pets may seem like an inconvenience sometimes, know that owning a dog can change the course of your life and may save you from some crazy situations.
You never know who, or what species, could save your life.
