After a long season, the Lakeland Hawks baseball team went to districts on April 30 at Moscow High School. They faced the Moscow Bears in a single-elimination tournament.
The Hawks fell short with the final score being 7-3.
The season has come to an end, and their final record as a team was 5-18.
Griffin Tamagni went 1-3 at bat. He scored a run, an RBI, and got an at-bat.
“It feels good that I could always do my job at the plate,” Tamagni said, “We need more experience as a team and make less mental errors.”
Nate Bevaqua 0 for 3 but had a RBI. He has no passed balls behind the plate.
“I feel like I did good, it is tough we did not come out with a win. I played for the team, I put my full effort in,” Bevaqua said, “Next year we need to take it upon ourselves and work hard over the summer, stay in contact and go to the field every sunday.”
The boys have work to do over the next nine months to hopefully come back stronger as a team.
