The Hawks have fallen short to the Lewiston Bengals on April 19. The first game had ended 5-3.
Evan Shanley spent all seven innings on the mound, he only let three earned runs on six hits.
“I feel pretty good, because I like to help my team the best I can,” Shanley said, “We should never lower our levels, we need to play to our standards.”
Austin Hocking made it on the plate and went 1 for 4, had two doubles, and one RBI.
“I just know I have to hit the ball,” Hocking said, “We just need to find the gaps.”
The second game was not a close one, losing 9-2.
Tadgh Ellwood went 2 for three at the plate, with one RBI.
The Hawks need to find a way to combine their defense and offense and use them both during a game.
Districts are in less than a month, and the Hawks need to find their footing before the deciding game on who goes to state.
