The Lakeland Hawks baseball team has fallen to the same fate by the Moscow Bears once again.
The first game was a battle with it ending with a score of 7-6.
Griffin Tamangi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
“It felt good, but we still came up short,” Tamangi said, “We need to start hitting more. We also need to finish the inning when we have two outs.”
Nate Bevacqua was another key player going two for three at the plate for the Hawks.
This loss set the mood for the next game, with a score ending at 8-1.
They did however see six different players step up to the plate and get a hit for the Hawks but one of them was able to make it home.
The Hawks ended the game with a fourth consecutive loss to the Bears. They are having a ruff season with a record of 4-11. Let’s hope the luck can change on their next game on the Lake City field on Thursday April 17.
“We need to clean up our plays and make sure we know our signs,” Tamangi said.
