The Ford F-150 Raptor may have lots of attention but what about the Bronco Raptor?
Back in 2009 Ford released the F-150 Raptor, a truck that can go fast offroad, have fun on the sand dunes, and can be jumped all from the factory.
The Raptor was one of the most groundbreaking trucks to be released by ford. The Raptor had a turbo’d V6 making tons of power and torque for the high performance specifications of the Ford Performance name.
The first Ford Bronco was released in 1965 and Ford stopped production of the Bronco in 1996 due to the lack of sales, but Ford decided to bring it back in 2020 because they wanted more vehicles that appeal to a wider range of people.
The Bronco Raptor was made to give the Bronco more performance and better suspension to rip through the sand dunes, the Bronco Raptor has what Ford calls the “G.O.A.T modes” so it has a Sport mode, Baja mode, Sand mode, Slippery mode, Comfort mode, and a Normal mode. The G.O.A.T modes are for when you want to have fun in the different terrains and weather conditions.
“The Bronco Raptor is what the normal Bronco should have been,” Brent Nelson, Owner of the Bronco shown above, said.
The Bronco Raptor is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 making 418 HP and 440 LB-FT of torque, It has some get up and go when you hit the gas pedal. The Bronco Raptor has a quarter mile time of 14.4 seconds at 94 MPH, which is a little underwhelming but when the Bronco Raptor weighs 5,733 LB’s. The Bronco Raptor is 4WD with the option to lock the front and rear differentials for true 4WD, it has a disconnectable front sway bar for off roading.
