With the 2025 baseball season coming up, you should be prepared to eat the classic ballpark foods that come with it.
There is nothing better than watching the great American game of baseball with some poor quality food in your lap and regretting the absurd amount of money you spent on it.
“I think baseball foods are overpriced and they don’t even taste that good,” Austin Francis Sophomore at Lakeland High School.
The Good ol’ Classic Hot Dog
One of my favorite American foods of all time is the hot dog.
After looking past how they are made, hot dogs are a great food to eat whether it’s at an exciting baseball game or on the Fourth of July you can always count on the hot dog to make an appearance.
The range of condiments and toppings that you can add to a hot dog makes it even better because it’s only as boring and dull tasting as you make it so as long as you don’t have the pickiness of a five year old you should be able to enjoy this food.
The Pretzel
The Pretzel is another baseball food classic.
It’s very rare you go to a game and don’t find someone munching on one.
Not only is the pretzel good by itself but if you start dipping it in some cheese sauce it makes it at least ten times better.
The fluffy texture and salty taste of a pretzel makes it a very welcome guest for your tastebuds.
“Pretzels are my favorite thing to get at a baseball game, I enjoy the flavor of them,” Joshua Callender Sophomore at Lakeland High School.
Popcorn
Popcorn is the best food for any type of entertainment.
Whenever you watch a movie or watch a sports game, you can always imagine having a bag or bucket of popcorn by your side.
The tasty mixture of salt and butter creates a very enjoyable snack.
It’s not necessarily messy, it’s not completely unhealthy, and it’s not extremely expensive.
Nachos
There’s never not a good time to choose nachos.
If you’re at a Mexican restaurant, order nachos. If you’re at the movies, order nachos, if you’re at a baseball game, order nachos.
You can never go wrong with some good old nachos. They are extremely flavorful and you can add so many toppings on them but even if you go classic with just some chips and nacho cheese it will still taste good.
Cracker Jacks
Even though Cracker Jacks are a lot like popcorn, I still believe they deserve their own category because of their popularity.
Cracker Jacks mix the perfect amount of salty and sweet, and it really is just an explosion of flavor into your mouth when you eat them.
Also with all the salty foods that are served at baseball games it’s nice to have that sweet break.
