The all-new 2025 Escalade IQ is peak luxury when it comes to EVs.
After the release of the Lyriq, Cadillac saw some success in the EV market, one year later they decided to drop a different EV to try and boost their sales of EVs.
Based on the Escalade design the IQ replaces the 6.2L V8 with a brand-new battery with over 200 KWH of capacity. With a spectacular 450+ mile range, this beast of an EV will get you across the county on just a couple of charges. With an estimated 8,000 pound towing capacity you can take all your luggage.
“For how big it is it has a lot of range,” Tre Tatom Said
It may look a lot like the regular Escalade but it does have a couple of differences. First off it is a tad more raindrop-shaped to keep aerodynamics to a maximum, the back of the IQ slopes a little more than the escalade and it’s less square.
The tail lights on the Escalade are pillars that follow up the back of the rear end, but the IQ cuts these pillars in half making for a more pointed hatch. Finally, the IQ is a body that sits atop the battery, it’s not a body on the frame like the regular Escalade.
The interior is a marvel, looking into the designs of the stitching on the seats is beautiful, the colors pop while not being too much, and the screen across the dash is wonderful. It is super spacious enough room for every passenger to spread out and get comfy, with room for 7 and if you dare, even the dogs. It will hold all the golf clubs you’ll ever need for a great trip to the range.
“I think that the IQ is pretty cool, it’s kinda a great change from the regular Escalade,” Tre Tatom said.
After riding in it personally I can atone for all the hype over this vehicle, it’s got so much more storage space, especially with the room upfront because of no engine, with 12 cubic feet of space you can even fit a whole person in there. The ride is smooth; it’s almost like you can’t even feel the bumps or discrepancies throughout the road.
The leather is very soft and cushions you like a baby, the seats are both heated and ventilated, so you never get too hot or cold. The screen across the dash is one of the coolest ones I have ever seen, it is a 55-inch screen that covers the entire dash and gives the passenger some entertainment too.
The entire car is controlled by the screen, but that’s not the only way to do things, most aspects also have a physical button to help out people who enjoy tactile things, even the screen itself has a dial that controls the entire thing.
