Electric Vehicles (EVs) have taken the world by storm. Eighteen percent of cars sold worldwide are EVs. With cool features, high speeds, and innovative technology, this leaves us with one question: What EV is the best?
Tesla Model S
The Model S is one of Tesla’s most well-known cars because of one of its packages, the plaid. The Tesla Plaid is the fastest car Tesla makes, with a 1,020 HP motor pushing 1,050 LB-FT of torque and a max speed of 200MPH. The car’s quarter-mile time is 8.96 seconds, almost two seconds faster than that of a Lamborghini Aventador.
Tesla made the Model S a hatchback sedan, and the back has more room than your average sedan. Over the last 17 years, Tesla has not changed much of the exterior but a few body angles. You can hardly tell the difference if you compare the first Model S to the new one.
The Interior of all Teslas is straightforward. They don’t like buttons; a screen controls everything in the middle of the dash. The backseat has all the legroom in the world and enough room for three people, and there is a screen in the front center console.
Tesla has many ideas about what to do with these cars and what they will make next. So far, they have made many good cars and even trucks. When someone says EV, the first thing that comes to mind is Tesla.
Hyundai Ioniq 6
Hyundai made the Ioniq series to give people more eco-friendly cars. The Ioniq 6 is fully electric, with 320 HP and 446 LB-FT of torque in the AWD model. The Ioniq isn’t the fastest EV, but it has tons of acceleration because Hyundai makes the Hyundai N series when they want their speed. It only has a quarter-mile time of about 13 seconds, almost 3 seconds more than a Lamborghini Aventador.
Hyundai made the Ioniq 6 for their new fully electric vehicle. It is a sedan hatchback like the Model S. The first Ioniq was created in 2016, and they have changed the body to the point where you don’t even think they are the same car. The first Ioniq looks very similar to the 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
The Interior of the car looks the same as the Interior of a new Hyundai Elantra N. On the dash, you have a dual-screen setup. One has your instrument cluster (all your gauges), and the other in the middle of the dash has your Android Auto and Apple Carplay radio.
Hyundai is a great car brand that makes nice vehicles at very affordable prices. The Ioniq 6 starts at only $37,500, a great deal for an EV.
Ford F-150 Lightning
Ford made an F-150 lighting back in 1993. It was their F-150, but it looked faster and more remarkable than the base model. However, Ford recently brought it back as an EV. The new F-150 lighting is a full EV, making 452 HP with 775 LB-FT of torque, making it very fast. The F-150 lighting looks like the regular F-150 but has a massive headlight across the front end and different wheels.
The truck has a cool feature that allows you to use it as a generator to power your house or some tools. The car has all the new technology that comes with all your other F-150’s but has some upgrades and differences. Like the truck’s exterior, the F-150 Lightning’s cabin is much the same as the gasoline-powered F-150, but with a few key differences, such as an extra-large infotainment display. The F-150 Lightning is offered only as a crew cab with a 5.5-foot bed. It offers a large front trunk (frunk) that utilizes the space where the standard F-150’s engine would sit, carrying additional cargo weighing up to 400 pounds.
The F-150 Lightning is a good truck and is unique, Ford is currently making plans for the EV super duty for the F250’s and F-350’s
“The F-150 lightning has a bottom end that hangs down super low to the ground and has no clearance,” Chase May said, “People show photos of it in the wild. I would be scared to take it out there because if it dies, you cannot charge it and get home.”
Honda Prologue
Honda made the Prologue in 2024. Honda wanted to make a high-tech EV, but it wouldn’t be ready until 2026, so it made an EV that could compete with all the other SUV EVs of its time. The Prologue makes 340 HP with 325 LB-FT of torque, has a quarter-mile time of about 13 seconds, and is around 4 seconds slower than a Lamborghini Aventador.
The exterior has sharp body lines and a distinct look from other EV SUVs. While there are clues to the Prologue’s Chevrolet roots inside, Honda made some changes to infuse the cabin with a design that looks recognizable as one of its own. Its simplified dashboard has fewer flourishes than the Blazer EV’s, as the Chevy’s round vents, brightly colored surfaces, and tilted infotainment display don’t make their way into the Honda. Instead, the Prologue’s layout is vaguely similar to those of other Hondas, with a clutter-free design rendered in muted tones.
The Honda Prologue is a super nice car—I would even say it’s high-end in appearance. Hondas are great cars and are drive-friendly.
Chevy Blazer
Chevy made the Blazer way back in the day to compete with the Ford Bronco and brought it back as a gaser a couple of years ago. They recently made it an EV, and that has been super controversial. Many Blazer enthusiasts hate that they made it electric and made it look so different than it did in its early years.
The Blazer produces 288 HP and 333 LB-FT of torque. Its quarter-mile time is 14 seconds, which is 4 seconds slower than that of the Lamborghini Aventador.
The Blazer has the same look as when it was brought back, minus the headlights. The headlights are a little skinnier than they were, but all of the body lines are the same. The Interior looks very similar to the Honda Prologue.
When people say Chevy Blazer, most think of the original off-road Blazer, which competed with the Ford Bronco.
