Aryah Black Eagle-Seres is not only an excellent student, but she is also able to manage playing volleyball for a club called Riptide, and is able to work a part-time job.
Q: What is your favorite part of high school?
A: Probably hanging out with friends, because being homeschooled was hard not having friends and it is nice to now be in an environment where I can hangout and talk to people.
Q: What position do you play in volleyball?
A: I play setter, and I like being the leader of the court. I am also captain and it is nice to have control on the court.
Q: Why did you decide to start playing volleyball?A: Originally because of someone I used to go to school with, but eventually I ended up falling in love with the sport and continued to play.
Q: What is your favorite part of playing club volleyball?
A: I like traveling and my teammates, it is such a different environment than playing for school, but traveling is definitely my favorite part.
Q: where are your favorite places to travel?
A: I like going to Vegas, it is so fun walking on the strip and there is so much stuff to do when I am not playing volleyball. I also really like Denver. I have only gone there once, but it was super fun and we won the tournament.
Q: Do you want to play volleyball in college?
A: I thought about it, but I just do not know if that would be too stressful, but I think it would be fun in theory.
Q: Where do you work?
A: I work at Sweet Lou’s in Coeur D’ Alene. I like my coworkers and the environment, and it is super fun when I make food tips. It is so fun and such a good environment to be a part of.
Q: What is your favorite class here at LHS?
A: I really like Mrs. Novak’s Algebra 2 math class. She makes it so easy to learn and understand everything.
Q: What do you want to do after high school?
A: I think I want to go into some kind of sports medicine or physical therapy for athletes. I really like learning about anatomy and things like that so I think it would be really interesting and fun to make a career out of.
