The Lakeland Joint School District 272 surpassed the average Idaho graduation rates.
The LJSD272 ‘s graduation rate for the 2023-2024 class was 95.1 percent. The average graduation rate in the state of Idaho was 82.3 percent.
Lakeland High School’s graduation rate was at 94 percent, graduating 170 out of 180 students on time. Timberlake High School was at 98.2 percent.
“I feel like that academic standard that we have at Lakeland High School is higher than most,” Jimmy Hoffman, Lakeland High School’s principal, said. “Our students come in and do a good job of working hard everyday, our teachers do a good job on preparing these students to be successful and our parents do a fantastic job of raising these kids to value education.”
The LJSD 272 graduation rate also had a higher rate than nearby school districts. The closest school district to LJSD 272 was Post Falls with 92.7 percent, then Coeur d’Alene at 89.3 percent, Sandpoint at 86.2 percent, and then Moscow at 81.1 percent.
Statewide there were 49 districts and charters, and 100 schools that had under the graduation rate.
