The Lakeland Hawks boys basketball team has officially picked up their first win of the 2024 season in a non-conference game against Lakeside High School.
The Hawks went into Washington with one thing on their mind, a win. The Hawks took down Lakeside with a final score of 59-36.
“The win definitely felt good,” Levi Abbott said.
Although the Hawks picked up this road victory, it’s important to never be too comfortable or too satisfied.
“Onto the next, the win felt good but were onto the next,” Jace Taylor said.
The team all around played well.
“This season we have really worked making sure that we run through are plays all the way which gives us opportunity to move the ball around,” Abbott said.
The Hawks next game is one of the few home games they Hawks have.
The Lake city Timberwolves will be heading to Lakeland to battle it out with the Hawks. The Hawks currently have a 1-3 record and look to extent that to 2-3 when faced against the Timberwolves.
