The Honda Civic: In July 1972, Honda introduced the Civic, a car with better fuel economy and less oil, which was important during the oil crisis.
The Civic featured above is a 2007 Honda Civic LX Coupe 2d with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine making around 143 HP and 128 LB-FT of torque. It has a 5-speed manual transmission and is FWD.
This Civic has a few aftermarket parts, such as a front lip on the front bumper for better looks, nice racing coilovers to make the car low to the ground, wheels, and tires. The wheels are some big 5-spoke white wheels with low profile tires with tonnes of grip, new E-brake and rotors, .5 inch wheel spacers for better wheel fitment, rear upper control arms that are adjustable, and are set for a little bit of rear camber at the moment, and has a freshly wrapped roof and hood. The roof is super gloss black, and the hood is gloss carbon.
The interior has some modifications as well. We got a super lovely touchscreen stereo head unit that is set up for subs, a new center console top, and a crown royal shift boot and carbon fiber shift knob.
“Trevens Honda Civic is super cool and loud. You can hear that thing from across the school parking lot with the Civic at the entrance and me at the school doors,” said Jack Childes, a sophomore at Lakeland High School.
The Civic is a fun little light car that feels like a go-kart. It has plenty of power when needed, takes corners, and actually sounds good.
The condition of the car is not the nicest. The front bumper is a little tweaked, there is a little dent on the passenger rear quarter panel, the clear coat is pealing all around the car, the steering wheel is missing some foam on top of it, and all of the plastics are rough and look super old and dirty no matter how much you clean them, the rear seat has a massive stain, and so does the carpet.
This car has pros and cons, but at the end of the day, it’s a clapped-out Honda Civic that sounds good and has people looking at you. This would be a great first car for a car guy.
