Hawks Roll Sandpoint

Lakeland picks up fourth-straight win

Lakeland Hawks (6-3) Carson Seay scored 19 points against the Sandpoint Bulldogs(3-6) to help lead the hawks in their fourth straight win. The final score being 72-49

Being the first of two matchups against Sandpoint this season. The Hawks looked to establish themselves as a team to fear, having already been on a 3 game winning streak. 

Lakeland started off as good as you can get, scoring 26 points in the first quarter, with the hawks making four 3’s in the first quarter, while holding the Sandpoint bulldogs to 5 points. 

Continuing their dominance, the Hawks entered the half with 42 points. The Bulldogs were only able to score 9 more points in the second quarter. With a comfy lead against the Bulldogs, the Hawks had lots of confidence to win the game. 

Entering the 2nd quarter, the Bulldogs didn’t give up, scoring 20 points in the 2nd quarter, but Lakeland still kept their lead with 19 points in the 3rd quarter. 

The Hawks closed out the game with 72 points total, winning against the bulldogs by 23 points. 

The Lakeland Hawks next game is Jan. 19 at Post Falls High School.
