The last days of high school start trickling by as everyone stresses about what the most memorable thing they will leave behind will be.
Senior quotes are the most stressful part of being a senior, other than choosing what you want to do with your life.
This is the proof that they came, they saw and they did.
In previous years, there have been Disney quotes; others may be funny, motivational, or sentimental.
“It’s difficult to pick one, I think I am going to do a Taylor Swift quote of some sort,” Annalie Terzulli said.
Unlike Terzulli, some have had it planned out for years, waiting for the day they finally get to make their mark.
Olivia Gibson decided to go the sarcastic route, quoting BoJack Horseman, which states, “
“‘Well, that was another in a long series of regrettable life choices’ -BoJack Horseman”
Carter Vanek decided to go the humorous route, which states, “If you’re not first, you’re last,” from Talladega Nights, however, he has not fully decided on that one.
Some will not even turn in one because it is just not their thing.
It is a fun experience everyone should do to be able to look back on ten to twenty years from now. Not doing one may be a regret these seniors have one day.
The deadline is Dec. 1 which is the same day for senior photos.
The requirements include: Your quote must not exceed 175 characters, you must check for spelling and grammar errors to avoid any embarrassing mistakes, Positive quotes or sayings are highly encouraged, but most importantly, any inside jokes, politically charged, or inappropriate quotes will not be accepted. The yearbook administrator and advisor have the right to delete any quote if they feel it is necessary. In November, the yearbook administrator and advisor will send proofs of the page.
Dustin Frank gave his insight on how these senior quotes need to be appropriate this issue brings up a discussion about doing without. He discussed that ninety-nine percent of the students do the right thing, so that is why it is such a hard thing to figure out. One thing he particularly enjoys about the quotes is when a staff member’s influence on a student is significant enough for one of their quotes to be used.
“I want them to be appropriate but also inspirational,” Frank said.
